What is “Smiley Talk”?
Smiley Talk is a method of communicating with the minimal amount of use of the keyboard. By simply clicking on the smiley faces the questions and answers are automatically displayed and you can talk to other people in a simple way, in your own and other languages.
How do I upload my picture?
To upload your picture go to your profile, and click on the button that says EDIT, select the picture tab from above and click browse to open your computers own files, click on the picture that you want to upload and click UPLOAD. Once the upload is complete you will be shown a message to SET and then APPROVE, click both of these to save the picture to your profile. If you have any problems please contact one of the team (see contact us) and we will do our best to help you.
Don’t forget, you are a lot more likely to make friends if you display your photo; people like to see who they are talking to.
How do I change my password?
If you return to your profile page and then to edit you will be able to change your password here.
What happens if I forget my password?
There will be a link near the log in homepage that will send a reminder to your email address should this happen.
Why does my Mum/Dad/Carer need a separate email address?
We felt that it would be nice for our members to be able to exchange messages in private and so parents and carers have their own area on the site which is kept separate from our members area, there may also be information on there that you do not want to share and therefore each person must have their own email address so we can identify exactly who it is that is logging on.
This is also one of our many security measures to protect our members
How can I delete my profile and cancel my account?
If you go to your profile page and click on EDIT, under the heading PRIVACY there is a link to cancel your account, you will be asked several times if you really want to do this as once you have cancelled you will not be able to access the site unless you join again, this will mean paying a second membership fee.
What is the BLOCK button?
The block button is there for you to use if you do not want to receive any messages from another member, by clicking on this button you stop that person from being able to contact you. You can also unblock a user if you later decide that you would like to talk to them again by using the same button.
